'The bus came late so I thought I missed it. Looks like I wasn't late, I was there just in time. We did the snake, cat, boat, tree, lotus, bird, candle and the broken candle. We ate crackers, cheese, ircotta, spaghetti, tomatoes, sweetcorn, sauce and carrots. We did a windmill. We enjoyed it!' - Kayleigh

This is what Kayleigh wrote on the coach on our way back to school! The snake, cat, boat, lotus are all different Yoga positions that we learnt today at the Ċentru 'Tbexbix' in Bormla. Apart from the Yoga session we learnt about the nice country of Latvia since one of the teachers was from Latvia. We had a presentation about 'Global warming' and what we could do to help Planet Earth. At the end we saw a short presentation about the importance of eating at least five portions of fruit a day.

Cindy and the football boots

Cindy loved football. Cindy had two step brothers called Duncan and Dean. Cindy did not have any football boots. Her step brothers didn't want her to play because they knew she was better than them. Football Fitness Frenzy!

As part of the "Healthy Week" activities today all three Year 4s went on foot to the Birkirkara Football Club at Infetti. Waiting for us we found our PE teachers. They divided us into small groups of four or five. The group practised various football skills such us dribbling, passing and shooting while going from one station to another. The Bank Robbery - English Picture Composition

Once upon a time there was a little girl walking past a bank. She was out because she had to go to buy from the greengrocer for her mum. Along the way she met a strange man. He was wearing a stripped t-shirt and a plain pair of trousers and his face was covered with beard. On his back he was carrying a sack full of money. Instantly she remembered that yesterday she heard that a robber had escaped from prison. She made up her mind to knock him down on the floor. At once he fell and the sack of money opened and all the money got out. Immediately she went to the police station and reported what had happened. For her bravness the Local Council rewarded her and gave her fifty euros!

Oh Happy Day!!

Yesterday we celebrated carnival. The children came to school in their carnival costumes. We did some crafts related to the "Dinja Wahda" project, we ate muffins and watched the different carnival activities organised by different classes in the school yard.

A big 'prosit' goes to the Year 3 classes - they did the traditional 'parata tal-karnival'. This dance opens the carnival in Valletta. Read this information :
Il-Karnival jibda s-sibt bil-Parata din hija żifna bix-xwabel li tirrafigura ġlieda. Il-Parata bdiet issir biex tiġi mfakkra r-rebħa tal-Kavallieri fuq it-Torok fl-Assedju ta’ l-1565. A trip to the North Pole

I went to sleep and dreamt that I went to the North Pole.

It was just before Christmas. I went with my brother Ilenio. As we were walking to Santa's factory we saw a snowman. There were lots of snowmen. We stopped and made a snowman in the snow. As we got there we saw Rudolph and the other deer. They were eating hay with a striped scarf and a red hat to keep them warm. As we went in we saw Santa and the dwarfs making toys. One of them was reading the letters and the others were making the toys. We checked if he had our letter!

Then I heard someone calling my name. It was mum. She was waking me up to go to school.

Lighthouse book

Bean Pole Billy was a kid. Bean Pole Billy ate a lot of beans and because of this he grew as tall as a bean pole. For his first day of school, the head thought he was the new teacher. He enjoyed teaching his friends. Once he made a lot of soapy water and the result was a lot of bubbles that had washed all the school and it became very clean and tidy. When Billy grew up he really became a good teacher.
